Charlie Potter, host of the WGN radio program “The Great Outdoors,” commends the extraordinary efforts of the Illinois Route 53/120 Blue Ribbon Advisory Council, and praises the leadership of council co-chairs David Stolman and George Ranney in his May 20th broadcast. Potter lauds the council’s work calling it an unparalleled and unprecedented effort to preserve the environmental integrity of the region, while advancing transportation and reducing congestion. He refers to the recommended plan as a national model for building major roads in an urban area, and an achievement that all of northeastern Illinois can be proud of.
